JS: Add anonymous functions passed as parameter to Outline view

    Details

    • Type: Improvement
    • Status: Open
    • Priority: Low
    • Resolution: Unresolved
    • Affects Version/s: Aptana Studio 3.2.1
    • Fix Version/s: None
    • Component/s: JS, Outline
    • Labels:

    • Environment:

      Eclipse 3.7 SR2. Aptana Studio 3.2.1 plugin for Eclipse.

      Description

      An anonymous function passed as a parameter does not show up in the Outline view. For example:

      Ext.onReady(function()

      { var x = 1; //... }

      );

      This is very common coding practice and the Outline view offers no help with navigating these functions.

      I have found no other Eclipse plugin that supports this and it was the major reason I tried Aptana Studio, since I saw APSTUD-1599 closed as fixed. Unfortunately, I think that scenario was slightly different since it had an anonymous function inside a variable declaration.

      If you can truly support anonymous functions in the Outline view, Aptana will be the best Javascript IDE out there.
