Commenting disables validation of the rest of the document

    Details

    • Type: Bug Bug
    • Status: Closed
    • Priority: Medium Medium
    • Resolution: Fixed
    • Affects Version/s: Aptana Studio 3.0.4
    • Fix Version/s: Aptana Studio 3.0.5
    • Component/s: content-assist
    • Labels:
      None
    • Environment:

      Mac OS X 10.7 Lion

      Description

      Whenever I want to start a longer comment with <!-- for HTML and /* for PHP, Aptana editor greys out the rest of the file, which is ok, because it is supposed to.

      However, when I write the comment and close the comment tag, the rest of the file remains grayed out, as if it was still within the comment block, which disables validation, autocomplete, etc and it makes it very hard to work with comments

          	$id = $_GET['id'];
          	if ($ar_game) {

          	}
          /* // RECREATION - Add a closing comment '*/' here
          ?>
          <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width,user-scalable=no" />
          <h1>Game [<?=$ar_game['id']?>]</h1>
          <a href="game.php?id=<?=$id?>&player=<?=$player?>">REFRESH</a>
          <INPUT TYPE="BUTTON" ONCLICK="window.location.href='_lib_dopost.php?m=bet&player=<?=$player?>&game=<?=$id?>&bet=10'" style="background: white;"></FORM>
          <INPUT TYPE="BUTTON" ONCLICK="window.location.href='_lib_dopost.php?m=bet&player=<?=$player?>&game=<?=$id?>&bet=50'" style="background: blue; color: white;"></FORM>
          </html>

          Add a closing comment at the line above. The current Studio version keeps the rest of the code as a comment.
          Expected behavior - The rest of the code should not be a comment (valid colorization and code-assist)

          Thank you for your patience. Please test the fix. Update to the beta branch (see http://preview.appcelerator.com/studio/ for details, choosing the "beta" stream for Aptana Studio 3.0.5) and let us know if it does (or does not) fix the problem ASAP.

          Verified the code coloration of the recreation text after the closing comment is identical to that in an HTML file.
