      Description

The HTML editor, especially on Linux, does not detect faulty syntax.

      Steps to Replicate :

      1) Open Aptana Studio
      2) Open an HTML file
      3) Enter the following (this content was marked as erroneous by the W3C validator)

      <htmlthisisfaultysyntax!!!<>>

      Actual Results :

The HTML editor should indicate a syntax error in the left-side gutter (note : on Windows the editor indicates a warning, however not an error)

      Expected Results :

The editor should mark this erroneous syntax as such.

We report Tidy errors as warnings in HTML, so that's expected.

I think this may be an untitled file:

        1. File > New From Template > HTML (Blank)
        2. Paste in code, no warnings
        1. Select Project, Right Click > New From Template > HTML (Blank)
        2. Paste in code, warnings

In which case the current behavior is expected. It's still something we'd like to change eventually, but it's because of how Eclipse's problems view works that it only accepts project-based file errors.
