      try formatting the following js code

      function switchtest(e)
      {
      switch (e) {
      case "a":
      a="a";
      break;
      };
      }
      

      gives the error:
      error while formatting the code in your editor.

        The code would format if the extra semicolon outside the switch statement is removed.

        The issue was with the semicolon at the end of the switch block.
